About My Work
Jackson Paul Mitchell is a guitarist, vocalist, and drummer based in Anderson, SC and Athens, GA.
Jackson Mitchell is no stranger to the stage; he was nominated as a semifinalist to the Georgia Governors Honors Program for Jazz Guitar and performed in the Prince Avenue Jazz Band for 4 years. Jackson is also an accomplished worship leader with over 8 years of experience leading congregations with his voice and his guitar. He has also spent many hours honing his craft behind the drum kit to continually diversify his craft. Jackson received the Woody Herman Award for excellent improvisation during his time in the PACS Jazz Band.
Jackson currently uses his gifts of guitar and vocals in AUthenticity, Anderson University’s premier commercial music ensemble, Anderson’s Country Band, the AU Worship Collective, and the BCM volunteer worship team.
Jackson also offers his keen ear for music production in helping produce original compositions for artists like Sydney Wells, Dalvin Gray, Benji Stiles, and Harper Krimm, among others. In his time at AU, he also found a passion for music production from behind a mix console, where he works part-time for Anderson University producing and mixing their Campus Worship services as the Student Audio Manager.
In the future, Jackson plans to combine his strong performance skills, ear for mixing and creativity, and his strong drive to accomplish goals to begin his professional career in Nashville. With versatility, humility, and an uncommon musical sensibility that many call the “X” factor in the industry, Jackson Mitchell is set to conquer any challenge ahead of him in this competitive field.
